About IQAC

Maintaining and enhancing the quality of education within institutions present a significant challenge in higher education. To address this challenge and establish a systematic approach to quality enhancement, our institute established the Internal Quality Assurance Center (IQAC) in 2018.

The IQAC was established with the purpose of instituting a systematic, ongoing, and proactive approach to enhance the teaching-learning process, evaluation methods, and overall quality improvement for both students and faculty. The IQAC conducts regular internal audits of the institute, faculty, and staff members to facilitate continuous improvement.

  • To establish and guarantee a culture of quality focused on overall excellence within the institution.

Mission

  • To direct and organize an institution's efforts and measures towards achieving academic excellence.
  • To serve as the motivating force for instilling quality, eliminating deficiencies, and augmenting overall quality

IQAC Policy

To highlight and nurture a culture of quality, utilizing responsive, dependable, and transparent actions, incorporating a blend of self-assessment and external evaluation for quality enhancement.

IQAC Objectives

  • To achieve the institute's vision and mission in alignment with its quality policy.
  • To establish a framework for deliberate, continuous, and transformative actions aimed at enhancing the academic performance of the institution.
  • To promote initiatives that facilitate the institutionalization of a quality-oriented mind-set and the integration of best practices to enhance the overall functioning of the organization.

  • Ensuring that academic, administrative, and financial tasks are executed in a timely, efficient, and progressively improving manner.
  • The significance and excellence of academic and research programs.
  • Ensuring fair access to and affordability of academic programs for all segments of society.
  • Maximizing and incorporating contemporary teaching and learning methodologies.
  • The reliability of assessment methods.
  • Ensuring the sufficiency, Maintenance, and appropriate distribution of support structures and services.
  • Sharing research findings and establishing connections with other institutions both within India and internationally.

The Role of the Coordinator

The IQAC Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of all its members. This coordinator, ideally a seasoned and competent individual with extensive experience in quality matters, can either be a full-time appointee or a senior academic/administrator with additional responsibilities. The administration should provide necessary secretarial support. Proficiency in computer skills and data management is a fundamental requirement for the coordinator.

IQAC Functions

  • Creating and implementing quality benchmarks and parameters for diverse academic and administrative activities within the institution.
  • Promoting the establishment of a student-centered environment that fosters high-quality education. Additionally, facilitating faculty development to embrace essential knowledge and technology for interactive teaching and learning practices.
  • Establishing mechanisms to gather feedback from students, parents, and other stakeholders regarding institutional processes related to quality.
  • Sharing information about various quality parameters in higher education.
  • Conducting workshops and seminars, both within and between institutions, focused on qualityrelated topics, and encouraging the formation of quality circles.
  • Recording and documenting the various programs and activities aimed at enhancing quality.
  • Serving as the central coordinating agency within the institution for overseeing quality-related initiatives, including the adoption and dissemination of best practices.
  • Establishing and maintaining an institutional database through a Management Information System (MIS) to support the ongoing enhancement of institutional quality.
  • Compiling the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) in accordance with the guidelines and criteria set forth by NAAC, for submission to NAAC.
